The Advantages Of An All-Inclusive Vacation

by Owen Jones

If you are arranging to go on vacation this year, how are you thinking of going about it? There are several options to explore, if you begin planning early enough. There are the self-planned, ‘I will find a hotel when I get there’ style; there are cruises and there are package vacations.
The self planned is for those without children and is more bold. Cruises are wonderful, if you like being on the water more than being on land and there are the package holidays, some of which are all-inclusive package vacations.

And then there is a growing number of families asking…

Stay-at-home vacations can be fun too

Mention gas prices in any crowded area and you’ll likely get a collective groan. I paid $3.30 a gallon today, an improvement from last week’s $3.45. I’ve no idea if they’re meant to go up or down by summer, but I do know that even taking a day trip is a lot costlier than it used to be.

Tips for the best ‘staycation’ ever

………..So what’s a struggling family to do for fun this summer? How about a staycation? A staycation is an economical alternative to a conventional vacation. Instead of jetting down to Disneyworld or some exotic locale, a staycation might consist of barbecuing around the backyard pool, visiting a nearby museum, or a relaxing day trip to a local park. But because you’re spending time close to home, you’ve got to fight the urge to call the office, make yourself available to the boss, or check e-mail and phone messages, activities that can turn your respite into an extension of work.

Recycling on Freecycle

One of the my favorite ways of stretching my dollar is to get things for free.  On this same note, I hate to see anything that is still useful get thrown into a dumpster.  I have recently discovered that there is a whole network of people worldwide who feel the same way about these two items.

freecycle_network

They gather online at a site called Freecycle.org and describe themselves as follows:

The Freecycle Network™ is made up of 4,880 groups with 6,929,000 members across the globe. It’s a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It’s all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Getting Good Stuff for Free – Contest Mania

One fun way of stretching a dollar is getting things for free.  Perhaps this is why people are always so inclined to enter contests in an effort to win something instead of saving their money and buying that object at a later date.

Like our adventurous friend on the left most of us lust after adventure but not all of us are that dare devilish.  Buying a lotto ticket or entering Publisher’s Clearinghouse Sweepstakes gives those of us who are not quite so daring the feeling of living on the edge or doing something risky.

The sheer mania that rocks the country when the Mega Lotto starts hitting the 9 figure range is a good example of how competitive we get when bit by the contest bug.

It happened to me just this week.  Reading my email a few days ago I came across a new contest called ContestBurner which offers a myriad of enticing prizes designed specifically to peak the interest of an aspiring blogger/internet marketer.  Sure enough, I was bitten.

How can I pass up a contest that offers me the possibility of having the Dreamteam (expert computer programs and marketers) set up and promote money making web sites on my behalf?  Not to mention the chance to win a cash prize?

I couldn’t pass it up .. maybe you can.  If you want to take the risk of being bit by that bug.. read more about it at ContestBurner.com

The stores which offer many items new and used are:

1. Goodwill – This is the worldwide know chain that offers many bargain prices and used items that will make any bargain shopper be happy of spending their money. With jeans and t-shirts at $1, who can really escape the bargains found at Goodwill?

2. Salvation Army – For many years, the Salvation Army offers many up-to-date items that are donated through many people wanting to let go of items. The Salvation Army has helped out the world in many ways. A bargain store opens up opportunities to help those who don’t have a good deal of money to get what they want or need.

3. 99 Cent Stores – These chains of stores offer many items from food to clothing. Being able to buy a big bag of cereal or a gallon of milk at 99 cents is a good way to save money for those rainy days. All 99 cent stores have the motto of helping out people in these times of crisis.

All products which are donated at these bargain stores are tested before sale to the public. Having a product which is used is never a bad idea. Looking for the best deals around is the main focus to everyone. Bargain stores offer what you need at low prices. Each time you go to a store, you are stimulating the economy. By buying items which are used or at low prices through bargain stores, you are helping the economy recover. Have a good outlook on life and think about the way you are helping through buying items.
